Four New Kendriya Vidyalayas Sanctioned in Telangana, Total Now 39

The Telangana government is set to receive four new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), increasing the total number of these central schools in the state to 39. This expansion aims to improve access to quality education for students in rural, tribal, and underserved regions.

New Kendriya Vidyalayas Announced in Telangana

Union Coal Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy announced the approval of four new KVs in Telangana. The schools will be established at the following locations:

  • Aspirational District, Bhadradri Kothagudem Headquarters

  • Tribal Area, Mulugu District Headquarters

  • Chelgal, Jagtial Rural Mandal

  • Nagavaram Sivar, Wanaparthy District

These new schools are expected to provide quality primary and secondary education and bring educational opportunities closer to children living in remote and tribal communities.

Expanding Educational Opportunities in the State

Kishan Reddy expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for their support in strengthening educational infrastructure in Telangana.

He highlighted that over the last two years, the Central Government has approved 832 PM-Shri Schools with a total budget of ₹400 crore, reflecting a strong commitment to improving school education across the country.

Strengthening Education Through Kendriya Vidyalayas

Kendriya Vidyalayas play a key role in delivering uniform, high-quality education under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). By expanding these schools to more districts, the government aims to:

  • Promote inclusive education

  • Bridge the gap between urban and rural schooling

  • Support tribal and backward communities with better learning facilities

The addition of four new KVs is expected to significantly boost the state’s education network and give students access to modern teaching standards.

Conclusion

With these four new Kendriya Vidyalayas, Telangana moves closer to achieving wider educational coverage and ensuring that every child, regardless of their location, gets the chance to learn in a quality environment. The expansion marks a significant step toward strengthening public education and supporting national education goals.
