YS Sharmila Accuses KCR and Jagan of Illegal Phone Tapping in Andhra, Telangana
Serious Allegations by Sharmila
Andhra Pradesh Congress President YS Sharmila Reddy has made strong accusations against two former Chief Ministers—K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) of Telangana and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of Andhra Pradesh. She claimed both leaders worked together to illegally tap her phone and monitor her political network.
Speaking at a press conference in Visakhapatnam, Sharmila said, “Phone tapping did happen—there is no doubt about it.” She said her phone, her husband’s, and those of her close aides were all monitored without permission.
Claim Backed by Party Insider
Sharmila revealed that YSRCP MP V. Vijayasai Reddy once told her about the surveillance. He even played her one of the recorded conversations. She now believes he may deny it under pressure. “Jagan used him to lie—even in matters related to his own family,” she claimed.
KCR and Jagan Allegedly Teamed Up
She also alleged that Jagan joined hands with KCR to block her political growth. “Their friendship was so strong that even family ties felt weak in comparison,” she added.
After she decided to launch her own party in Telangana, the threats increased. Sharmila said her political allies were pressured not to support her. “Jagan had no right to interfere, but he tried to stop me only to please KCR,” she said.
Why She Stayed Silent Before
Sharmila explained why she didn’t speak earlier. “At that time, the fear was so deep that phone tapping felt like a small issue,” she said. She believes that the level of intimidation and political control was extreme.
Calls for a Full Investigation
Sharmila has asked both state governments to launch a full investigation into the phone-tapping case. She said, “Now that Chandrababu Naidu is Chief Minister in Andhra Pradesh and Revanth Reddy is in charge in Telangana, they must act.”
She also confirmed her full cooperation with any inquiry. “I will go wherever I am summoned. The truth must come out, and those responsible must be held accountable,” she said.
